Linda Constable BA (Hons) MCLIP is Chair of the Judging Panel of CILIP Libraries Change Lives and Vice-Chair of CILIP Community Services Group. Linda has a wide range of experience in the library and museum sectors at national, regional and local authority level and is an activist working with CILIP to advocate the value of librarians and libraries. Linda is committed to developing library services and supporting staff through transformational opportunities that will enhance the customer experience and position libraries at the hub of their communities. Linda is currently Senior Manager Customer Services, Dorset Library Service (job-share) and part-time freelance consultant.
The CILIP Libraries Change Lives Award is an annual celebration of the value of libraries to people and communities. The Award has been running since 1992 and each year 3 entries are shortlisted for the award from across the UK and the winner is announced at a key national professional event. The Libraries Change Lives Award provides an opportunity for library services, staff and stakeholders to share successes, promote best practice and demonstrate high quality library and community partnership collaboration.
